The controversy about junk cars, sparked by Dr. Werner Krebser's comments in a recent interview in the Rappahannock News, continued at the sparsely attended June 2 meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
Comments aired at the meeting and a pair of letters submitted to the board attest to the lack of homogeneity in public opinion on the issue.
Sharon Kilpatrick, one of a dozen or so attendees, spoke of the value of recycling automobile parts and suggested that a solution to the issue of Mike Brown's collection near the new Rappahannock National Bank location on Route 211 is for the bank to "swap" property with Brown and relocate the cars to the back of the property.
