ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF STONEWALL-HAWTHORNE DISTRICT

There has recently occurred a vacancy on the Rappahannock County School Board for Stonewall-Hawthome Magisterial District.

Under the laws of the Commonwealth, this vacancy must be filled by the School Board within 45 days.

Any registered voter who is a resident of Stonewall-Hawthome District is eligible for appointment by the School Board to this unexpired term (through December 31. 2003). In order to be considered for appointment, an interested individual must make his/her desires known in writing by Thursday. June 12. 2003 to the Deputy Clerk of the Rappahannock County School Board, at the School Board Office, 6 Schoolhouse Road, Washington. VA 22747. -

Such notification of interest must contain your name, address, telephone number, and declaration that you are a registered voter in your district. Also, you should list your community experience, your interest in Rappahannock County Schools (or other schools) and any recent involvement in school or educational activities.

Further, please include a brief statement (two paragraphs or less) why you wish to be considered for this position.

A public hearing will be held by the School Board for the purpose of considering those interested in this appointment at a special meeting for that puipose in the Band Room at the Rappahannock County High School on Tuesday. June 17. 2003. at 7:30pm.

No person whose name was not considered at a public hearing may be eligible for appointment by the School Board.
