Spring Rain Only in Springtime is the rain so gentle, with puffs of mists to drench the green of newborn spring; a rain felt sweet on the cheek, as kiss'd, or as pearly drops of dew on wings, and leaving barely a trace on the river's face. Not yet drops, but moisture’s evidence on poppy's shining petals that shyly bow, perhaps with a bit of heaven's reverence, as an upright Iris can avow.
