Congratulations

Rappahannock! You did it again. The 2003 Rappahannock County Relay for Life held on May 17-18 was a great success again this year despite the rainy weather. The total figure is over $48,000 and climbing.

The Relay is truly an inspiration to me and so many wonderful people in our community. Not only does it raise money for cancer research and treatment, it also honors our cancer survivors and remembers our friends and loved ones that have lost their battle to this dreadful disease. The Relay is also about our community that has taken up a fight against cancer and will stop at nothing until we find a cure.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to everyone that has helped make this year’s event so special. They are our team captains, team members, donors, supporters, committee chairpersons, sponsors and everyone else that helped.

Many thanks to our event sponsors: Rappahannock News, Rappahannock National Bank, Rappahannock Lions Club, Rappahannock County Elementary School, Pepsi Cola, Sunbelt Rentals, Early’s Carpet, Inc., Hall Mechanical & Associates, Sam Snead Realty,
