season drew to a close and will begin next season having the experience of state championship competition.
The 4 x 100m relay team entered the competition needing strong efforts from the entire squad to rise from their eleventh-seeding in order to capture one of the top eight scoring places. The team, consisting of Jami Jacobs, Mattie Nawrocki, Courtney Hutcheson, and Ryisha Cook ran one of their best races of the season and finished with , an eighth-place showing to earn one point.
The 4 x 100m team consistently improved in all aspects of the event, with particularly strong gains made toward the end of the season.
The Lady Panther will begin next year with all members returning from this season’s team.
In the boys competition, Sussex Central High School rolled to yet another easy victory with 82 points, nearly 30 more than runner-up William Campbell HS (54.5 points).
