Ryisha Cook, competing with an injured lower back, sprinted to a third-place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 12.36 seconds. Cook also placed sixth in the long jump with a leap of 16’ 07 J):” inches and grabbed seventh-place in the triple jump with a near personal record of 34’ 7”. Cook’s lower back injury prevented her from competing in the 200m dash, but she finished the day with 11.25 of the team’s 12 points.

Anna Rreyling and Samantha Brown both competed in the high jump in extremely tight and tough competition that saw five jumpers clear 5’ 0”.

Kreyling cleared 4’ 10” with her best attempt, equivalent to that of the sixththrough eighth-place competitors; but previous misses at lower heights prevented her from a scoring place. Brown leapt to a solid 4’ 8”, also just below the scoring positions.
