On Thursday, Dec. 18 at 5 pm, the children of Miss Kitty’s kindergarten and nursery from the Hearthstone School will stroll the village of Washington with their handmade candle lanterns offering light, love and song in celebration of the winter solstice. Sufi Dayicing on Dec. 19

Pancakes with Santa

There will be a Pancake Breakfast with Santa Claus at Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Donations will be accepted and proceeds will be given to the Flint Hill Fire Department.

RCHS Christmas play

The Rappahannock County High School drama class will present two performances of “A Christmas Carol" on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 21 at a 2 p.m. matinee at the high school auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door. This is a joyous

tradition for the whole family. ^

Pottery classes

Pottery classes are forming at Blueridge Artisans in Sperryville with January children-’s classes and adult beginner and advanced throwing classes. This is a great winter time activity and it makes a great gift. Call Suzanne at 987-1000 for more information.

Free Clinic open

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local branch of the Fauquier Free Clinic, operates on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of each month at the Rappahannock County Health Department in Washington.
