James P. Jamieson, 97, died Dec. 8 at his Sperryville country estate.
Mr. Jamieson was horn April, 30, 1906 in Chicago, 111.
He was the first born of eight children to John and Mary Jamieson.
His three sisters, Peggy Weber, Theresa Moore and Ellen Jamieson, and three of his four brothers, John, Donald and Jerome Jamieson preceded him in death. His youngest brother, Emmett, lives in Dallas, Texas.
James “Jamie” Jamieson spent his formative years in Chicago. After early schooling there, he graduated from De Paul University, and later from law school. He began his business career at an early age in the investment business as an office trainee. He progressed rapidly to become a trader in stocks and bonds in his early twenties.
