Health continues to offer flu shots for $15 and pneumonia shots for $20. You may get these shots on Dec. 16 from 911 a m. at the Rappahannock County Health Department on Main Street in Washington.
The Virginia Department of Health encourages people to speak with their physicians about whether to have a flu shot. There are reasons that some people should not get one, including these:
• You should not have a flu shot if you are allergic to eggs, which are used in making the vaccine.
• You should not have a flu shot if you have a high fever.
