A major study of Rappahannock' elder citizens paints a grim picture c constantly shrinking caregivers am social service agencies in the face of; growing county population of peopl over 60 years of age.
The study—using census figure and the results of a telephone survey < 1,035 persons 60 years nr older showed that 27 percent of the 1.39 elder persons in Rappahannock Count now “have need for assistance witi activities of daily living" ranging in per sonal care from bathing to shopping.
