If you're a stay-at-home mom interested in writing a book, you have a new ally in Loudoun. A publishing house — Moms In Print — has opened in Round Hill, and its goal is to encourage mothers to write while staying at home with their children.
The company’s first accepted manuscript, “Misadventures of Moms,” is by Kerri Charette, a mother of five from Connecticut.
Charette, whose book will be released in April, says the company’s popularity makes sense to her.
“It offers moms hope and gives them a chance to validate their writing,” said Charette.
Moms In Print, which opened for business Jan. 1, was founded by Round Hill resident Tara Paterson and Brigitte Thompson, of Williston, Vermont.
Paterson met Thompson almost a year ago through her business JustForMom.com, a Web site created to encourage mothers to nurture themselves so they can nurture the people around them. Both are stay-athome mothers.
