Five county students
win in science fair By Kathie Russo Special to the Rappahannock News Five students from Rappahannock County received awards for their projects at Wakefield Country Day School’s recently held annual Science Fair. The science competition had 48 participants in grades four through seven and one winner was chosen from each grade. First, second and third place overall winners were also named. Katie von Fange, a seventh grader from Woodville, won first place in the 7th grade competition and second place overall. Fourth grader Brian Shafran of Viewtown placed second and fellow fourth grader Will Mullany of Washington placed third. In the fifth grade competition, Sarah tftfzel of Sperryville won first place and Christine Pankow of Flint Hill placed third.
