Burke reported that at the first word of trouble, Sprint sent a technician to the dispatching center in Washington at the Sheriffis office.
“Everything there checked out”, said Burke. He added that “the problem is there is very little communication between Verizon and Snrint.” Burke said the switching problem affected telephones from Amissville to Ben Venue, and south to Viewtown, plus all of Castleton.
He said that Monday Sprint concluded it was a Verizon problem, but it was not until 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday that the problem was corrected.
