Rappahannock’s 30. Anna Kreyling, a junior, correctly answered two questions, on the musical term, “cadence”, and the quote, “Time and tide wait for no man.” Nathan Welch contributed one correct answer by knowing the electron configuration of the sulfur atom.
Trailing in Round 2, with Kreyling as captain, the Panthers chose the “A” questions. Kreyling herself correctly identified the Faulkner novel, “Absalom, Absalom!,” the Star of David, and amoeba, for the only Rappahannock points. On the B questions, the Panthers missed their opportunity to steal, since Wilson only answered one of their 15 questions correctly. The score was now 130-60, with RCHS trailing.
