Chili Bowl fund-raiser

The Piedmont Softball Association is hosting its Second Annual Chili Bowl on Saturday, March 20 at Bill Payne Auction Gallery in Amissville from 12 noon to 5 p.m., benefiting Girls’ Fast Pitch Softball. Admission is $5. Children five years old and under are free for all-you-caneat chili. Competitive chili categories include Basic, Hottest and Exotic. Basketball game

Come join the fun on Saturday, March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High School gym as the staff and coaches there take on the staff and coaches from Culpeper County High School in a fund-raising basketball game to benefit the upcoming 2004 Competition Squad. Half-time entertainment will be provided by Culpeper’s Cheerleading Squad and Rappahannock’s 2003 high school Competition Squad.

Interior decorating

Come to the Jamieson Room at the Rappahannock Library on Saturday, March 27 at 10 a.m. and hear Lois Kerchner of Interiors by Whitcairn describe practical ways to refresh the decor of your home for spring. 4-H club sale and music

The Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Club will hold a Jumble sale with music on Saturday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Flint Hill Fire/Rescue Hall. A storehouse of high quality items (including a live horse) will be sold. While you shop, enjoy the music of local artists and have a meal served up by the club members and their parents.
