women would have no eggs to eat or sell. These were lean times for people who counted on selling eggs and chickens. The men that stole the chickens traveled in a Model A Ford with a rumble seat in the back. They were two nice looking fellows, but they would not work for a living. There was a reward for their capture. Viewtown did not have a jail. Mr. Spillman of the Viewtown store would lock up any unruly people in the com house until the next morning.
