Spring is on its way and with it comes cash awards to some of Rappahannock County’s public school system’s most innovative teachers.
Headwaters, the county’s Public Education Foundation, has awarded grants for eleven new projects that will be put into place this spring at the Rappahannock County Elementary School and Rappahannock County High School.
Four of these newly-funded projects are at the elementary school. Pearl Barron, Tiffany Keys, and Liz Eastham received funding to provide choral enrichment for all kindergartners. First grade teacher Deborah Flinchum received funding to provide gift books to her students throughout the year as they begin to read.
