ESTATE MANAGER
50 acre private estate in Upperville, Virginia is seeking a professional, on-site property manager with strong supervisory skills and experience to manage a staff of 9. Must have a proven track record of managing, motivating and supervising staff and contractors for a wide range of day-tcnfay functions to include: household'domestic; building maintenance including HVAC and security systems; grounds maintenance including landscape and turf maintenance; wells and irrigation systems; vehicle and equipment maintenance. Should be technically inclined and have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Possession of a degree in Horticulture and/or several years experience in gardening would be an advantage. We are looking for candidates that have a minimum 10 years experience in similar positions, that demonstrate long-term commitment. The successful candidate should be highly organized with attention to detail, and a working knowledge of budget preparation, cost analysis and putting contracts out to bid. good written and oral communication skills are required. This full time, on-site position includes a complete benefits package, attractive salary and a 4-bedroom house. A background check, several professional and personal references, along with a valid driver's license will be required. This position will start on January 5, 2003 with a transition period of training.
