Come hear local residents Chris Goodine and Charlie Tompkins present the fascinating story about historic photographer Loranus C. Newhall. and show examples of Newhall’s work on Friday, May 14 at 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. The program is sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) as part of the Second Fnday at the Library Series. Admission is free. The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will hold its fourth annual Dog Day Afternoon with fun for families and their dogs on Saturday, May 15 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at Windrush, three and one-fourth miles from Route 647, on the left side of Route 637 (North Poes Road). Breakfast for senior cen ter
A breakfast to benefit the Rappahannock Senior Center will be held Saturday. May 15. from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the Flint Hill Fire Hall. The menu is biscuits and sausage gravy, eggs, ham, donuts, breakfast casseroles, fruit, coffee and juice. There will be gospel singing by the Rutherfords. (Strictly donation basis).
