across America, Rappahannock has contributed its sons and daughters to the American military campaign in Iraq. The sacrifices made by our young men and women and their families embody a spirit that is alive and well and as American as Mom and apple pie.
Now, with the photographs that came to light last week of uniformed young American men and women in Iraq harassing, humiliating, and sodomizing prisoners, shouldn’t we ask, is that kind of aberrant spirit as American as apple pie, too?
