Couple gets goahead
to build
‘dream house’

The Town of Washington and Sid and Mary Catherine Worley, finally reached an agreement this week which gives the couple a settlement payment of $75,000 and five years in which to build a house on Main Street.
It has taken one lawsuit. 10 months of litigation, 13 closed sessions of the Town Council and mam hours of negotiations to reach the agreement. The town's insurance coverage will pay for "roughly twothirds" of the settlement payment as well as the town attorney's fees, according to Washington Mayoi
