In the settlement, the Worleys were given a longterm “certificate of appropriateness” which gives them five years in which to build their house. The Worleys agreed to modify the material on the roof (EcoStar Majestic Slate polymer shingles) and porch railings of the house, but nothing was modified regarding the use of the HardiPlank composite siding, a key point of contention during the ARB and Town Council hearings.
