Ann Spieker and Bill Lanning helped show merchandise auctioned off at the Washington Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday. The auction raised about $6,000.
In the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, Betty Webb, Martha Barton and Kaye Kohler set out dried flowers to be used for the annual Dried Flower Sale and House Tour.
Scott Updike, a member of the Rappahannock County 4-H Livestock Club and member of the 1994 State 4-H Livestock Judging team, participated in the Eastern States 4-H Exposition in West Springfield, Mass, on Sept. 17. The Virginia 4-H A team, of which Scott is a member, placed first in the 4H competition.
