College access meeting
There will be a public information meeting about the Rappahannock College Access Program on Oct. 2 at the Rappahannock library from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, is exploring sponsorship of this new program to increase the number of students attending college or other education after high school. Bel Canto to sing
On Sunday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m., the vocal ensemble Bel Canto will perform at the Theatre in Washington. The concert, sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community, will include a wide variety of music, from Brahms to jazz. Tickets are $10. The family of the late Ashby Jackson and Treva Clater Atkins will hold a reunion on Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Flint Hill Fire Department. A picnic lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Bring a covered dish and drinks to share. Family and friends are invited.

The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will meet at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at the Rappahannock County Library.
