Tuesday’s game was the third meeting between Madison and Rappahannock this season, and the second in the past week. The Panthers beat the Mountaineers 1-0 on April 27 at home and 4-2 on May 15 in Madison.
Looking forward
Rappahannock and Manassas Park will face off for the third time this season when they meet in the district tournament title game today.
The Panthers came out on top in the past two games against the Cougars, winning 2-1 on May 7 at Manassas Park and 9-0 on May 14 at home.
The title game begins at 5 p.m. today at the field behind Rappahannock County Elementary School.
