Prepare specifications; assist in contract selection; advise onpreventive maintenance issues; bid or renew service contracts on-time; monitor performance; authorize payment for job order contracting and periodic contract work on security, roofing, hardware, painting, and other building systems; verify that work is completed to specifications. Combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation with course work in building construction/carpentry trades and 4 years of directly related experience in constructing and maintaining building systems, including minimum of 1 year experience in acquiring and managing construction contracts. Valid appropriate driver's license. Able to work on construction sites and in extreme temperatures; some work is hazardous due to location, or type of work. Subject to recall or being held beyona scheduled workday; must, be available to respond to County emergencies. Successful candidate must undergo a driver's license check.
