Cinnamon Ridge
This past Saturday I happened to stumble across an event right down the road on South Poes. Cinnamon Ridge Farm just recently hung out their shiny new sign and already they’re hosting events. The first event in their 2007 show series was held this past Saturday, May 19. It’s the first of six shows. The other dates are June 16, July 14, August 11, September 8 and October 6. These are VHSA and BHSA Associate Member Shows. The event began at 8:30 am. with 47 different classes. It was a gorgeous day for the event and I was glad I’d stopped by to watch the fun. There was even food available for purchase from Hog Wild BBQ. If you’re a local horse lover you might want to stop by some sunny day and epjoy one of these events.
I met Sophie Hailey from Warrenton and her horse, Splashy Affair. Sophie and Splashy won the championship ribbon in the Pre-short Stirrup Equitation event. They were there riding with Picturesque Farm from Warrenton which fielded a large number of competitors.
