Katie Huang, a ninth grade student on the varsity soccer team, was named Wakefield Country Day School’s female athlete of the month for March. Ms. Huang has been a starter since the first day of practice and has continued to develop her skills throughout the year, according to WCDS Athletic Director Mike Kenney. Kenney noted, “She works extremely hard in practice and has been responsible for neutralizing some of the oppositions’ best scorers.” According to Coach Jeff Perry, “Katie caught on quickly and has been a steadying influence on defense for the team.”
