It was a hard lesson to learn - keeping the horse on an exact line - but one she retained: Gryffindor and Bachman won three advanced level events in ‘07 and are considered one of Virginia’s best hopes to make the team for Hong Kong.
We sat down with Bachman at her stable in Lovettsville last week before she headed to Aiken. We wanted to know her secrets to success, especially on the subject of teaching a horse to be adjustable enough to jump on an exact point.
Fauquier Times-Democrat: You were put on the 2008 Olympic Games “training list.” What does that mean to you and Gryffindor?
