Our community is so blessed to have a vital and active Volunteer Fire Department Associated with the Fire Department is the Ladies Auxiliary, which was chartered in 1954. The auxiliary works diligently to raise funds and complete projects that improve and maintain the Fire Hall and the carnival buildings. A portion of the funds are donated to the FHVFD. Over the years the auxiliary has completed projects such as refinishing the floors in the Fire Hall, installing custommade draperies, purchasing kitchen equipment such as grills, freezers, shelving, fry cookers and an exhaust system. Auxiliary members have donated their time to paint and clean the food stands to meet Department of Health standards. They also assist in community functions and projects, such as managing the funds donated for street lights in Flint,..Hill, assisting the Boy Scouts with Eagle projects, and
