That time honored tradition of standing around the coffee pot continues at the Comer Store, but soon you will also be able to buy an expanded selection of meat, a variety of homemade sausage, and eventually, fresh seafood, artisan cheese and homemade breads. Andy Thompson began renovations last week at the Store, but he emphasized that there will be business as usual and apologizes for any inconvenience to customers during demolition and rebuilding. The project is slated for completion in 8-10 weeks. If the success of Thornton River Grille and Rudy’s pizza foretells the quality of the changes, we can anticipate an excellent community grocery store that will fill a gap in Rappahannock County. I think that will be a fair exchange for a few weeks of some inconvenience. Thank you, Andy!
