Tony Vanderwarker of Albemarle County has been elected by the Board of Directors of the Piedmont Environmental Council as Chairman of the Board. Vanderwarker, who served as a Vice-Chairman, succeeds the late Eve Prime Fout of Fauquier County who passed away in December 2007.
“I am honored to be elected by our Board to lead this vibrant, active organization. PEC works hard to protect the rights of individuals to enjoy the environmental, scenic and historic resources that make Albemarle County and all of the Piedmont a great place to livq^ work and raise a family. Eve Fout was a great Chairman and I look forward to picking up where she left off” said Vanderwarker.
