for each to set priorities and ofFer information. In Rappahannock County, the partnership meets the fourth Thursday of each month at the Rappahannock Public Library. Each county partnership also plays a part in the regional group, and helps with issues of regional importance, like transportation, adult daycare, caregiver support, prescription drug assistance, communications, quality standards, employment, and health.
There’s also a core leadership group of 13 members who are major forces in planning for the future that’s fast approaching. The directors of each county’s social services, for example; and the hospitals. Piedmont United Way, non-profits serving the aging, local citizens and regional planners are all part of this group. A larger group of involved citizens makes up the regional coordinating council, and all this is coordinated by a small staff.
