try my cooking'’ said 9-year-old Jacob Love, the youngest chef to present his specialties at Pellegatta’s Eatery. Cynthia Stamp said his chocolate chess pie was the best she had ever eaten at a restaurant! This young man has been in the kitchen with family members ever since he was old enough to stand on a stool wearing an apron and covered from head to toe with flour. Jacob read about the Guest Chef series in this column and realized he wanted someone else to try his cooking. He joined Stacy Bailey’s 4H cooking and crafts class and wowed the group with his sausage bread. Then, with support from his dad, he approached Ted Fellegatta and brought in samples of both the chocolate chess pie and the sausage bread. Now those two specialties will be available when Jacob has the time to get in to make them. Someday we hope he will offer some of his other favorites like apple muffins, cake and sweet potato rolls. Older brother Grayson, a seventh grader, often requests that his brother make sausage bread. Neighbor Santoni Scott had a birthday, and you might guess that his birthday present was none other than chocolate chess pie and sausage bread! Proud parents Kim and Kenner Love are very supportive and stood by while Jacob told his story.
