again sought to amend the bill to provide immediate relief to Virginia’s drivers. This time we achieved partial success. The Democrats capitulated and agreed to an “emergency clause” that would make the bill effective immediately upon receiving the Governor’s signature. Unfortunately, they again rejected the amendments that would provide relief to those drivers already facing these fees.
This week the Senate will pass the repeal bill, sending the measure to the House of Delegates for what all hope will be swift action. We can hope that the House of Delegates will again try to add relief for drivers already fac
