He received about 350 submissions.
“I’m looking for work that stands out, that makes me pause and want to look more closely at it,” he said. And to him, both Norman’s and Patton’s paintings did just that. Thirty-three works were selected for the exhibition, which runs the gamut of painting styles from realism to geometric abstraction to expressionism. It is open to the public now through March 2.
