Soccer Association Spring 2008 registration
Rappahannock County Soccer Association Spring 2008 registration is underway. The website, www.rappsoccer.com is accepting registrations through Feb.23 with late registration through March 7, with an additional fee. Mail in registration forms will be available at the Rappahannock Elementary School Office for those without online access through Feb. 15 and must be postmarked by Feb. 20 to ensure placement on a team. Performance Art Class Series
A Performance Art Class Series will be given at Hearthstone School to enable students to explore creativity using sound, movement and story. Dance, music and drama techniques will be taught in a holistic manner. Students will create a performance piece to share with family and friends at the end of the school year.
Wednesdays 3:3074:15 p.m. for 4-6-year olds and 4:30-5:30 p.m. for 11 -12-year-olds and teens

Jan. 31: Spaying, Neutering program continues
To spay or neuter a dog or cat could cost you two hundred dollars, but the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), through its shelter in Amissville, has arranged for a spay/neuter monthly trip that saves a large amount of money. For no more than $65.00 - less for some animals - you can have your pet “fixed". All an owner needs to do is call the RAWL shelter at 540-937-3283 any morning, seven days a week, between 8 a. m. and 1 p. m. Yes, there is someone there each morning to feed the dogs. Owners call the shelter to make arrangements to register their animals in person and pay in advance. The next spay and neuter trip is Wednesday, Feb.6 You may register up to the day before, Feb. 5.
