Actor Ulrich Muhe is unforgettable as the Stasi Captain whose job is to spy on and ruin the lives of the State's most famous poet and playwright played by Sebastian Koch (The Black Book* and his lover one of the State's most famous actresses played by Martina Gedeck. This bleak, black period of 100.000 Stasi spies and 500.000 informers was a period in Germany’s history that has still not been reconciled.
