Like three others running for two open seats on the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors in the Nov. 3 election, Terry' Dixon of Castleton is vying for elected office for the first time.
Dixon, 46, however, is no stranger to politics. He is chairman of the county’s Republican Committee.
He is running against Chris Parrish for the StonewallHawthorne District seat being vacated by longtime Board Chairman Rbbert Ajiderson.
Dixon, a Realtor, owns and operates Castle Realty after spending more than 20 years in the copier industry in California. To be closer to east coast-based family, he moved to the county eight years ago wuth his wufe, Mary, and their daughter,, Jaclyn, a freshman at Virginia Tech.
As a candidate for supervisor, he says he has three priorities: No new taxes, limited growth in the current commercially zoned areas of the county and cell coverage and broadband Internet access within the county.
