This position will conduct extensive research of federal regulations related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and will provide, detailed recommendations to County Administration on achieving maximum compliance. The position will also become familiar with County operations and develop related internal HIPAA policies and procedures. This position will work along with the County's Privacy Officer to interpret and implement policies to ensure that all program mandates are met and will train and develop departmental HIPAA privacy and security officers The successful candidate will be able to work effectively with all levels of staff, manage multiple protects and priorities, provide technical advice, communicate effectively, and be able to deliver specific work products in a timely manner. Must possess excellent comprehensive writing, communication, and computer skills Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in, Public Administration and a minimum of four years related experience, to include experience with HIPAA regulations and policy development.
