Rappahannock high school’s Lady Panthers' varsity volleyball players spent last week on the road. The team brought home one loss and one victory.
On Sept. 14, the ladies had a long “one hour and 45 minute bus ride” to East Hardy, W. Va., for a tough five-game match resulting in a 2-3 loss against the Cougars: 25-11, 20-25, 2325. 25-18, and 12-15. Head Coach Jackie Settle reported that the team “played flat and couldn’t seem to get it together mentally in time to get a win.” Overall, they “missed a record high of eight serves total for the match,” she said.
