Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church has developed a prayer team led by Rev. Jon Heddleston, Brian Ross and Chilton “Chilly” Raiford. The team often offers a laying on of the hands healing ceremony between Sunday services. On Sept. 27, at 8:30 a.m. Chilly Raiford, WWII veteran and two time kamikaze survivor, will lead a full Healing Ceremony. Chilly is described by Cynthia Stamp as an impassioned healer who is authoritative, spirit filled and knowledgeable of the Bible. All are invited to attend.

Rappahannock Wellness , Center in the Hearthstone School complex is the home of Nature’s Way Day Spa with Terri Freeborn. A gifted massage therapist, she has had extensive training and experience, including a recent training in medical massage in Costa Rica. Monic Plonka is massage therapist who specializes in deep tissue and pressure point massage. Kathy Edwards, nutritionist and Reiki practitioner is also a certified raw foods teacher. Christen McCormack runs the Spirit School and does private sessions and workshops. Jane Mulfan leads a prayer group and hands on healing session every second Sunday at 5 p.m. with 12 therapists from a variety of disciplines.

Yoga is offered at Belle Meade School several times a week. The incomparable Lilo Foster, a woman in her 80s and a role model for us all, has yoga classes at Trinity Church on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings.

Pam Richardson, LCSW, has her office above Horse and Hounds in Flint Hill, Barbara Adolfi, LCSW. has an office on Water Street in Sperryville and Ann Tate, LCSW, has an office in the Rappahannock Wellness Center. All are holistic psychotherapists.
