Bear encounter
John MacPherson of the Foster Harris House B&B was driving along Fodderstack Road Tuesday afternoon on his way to pick up his son, Finn, at Wakefield Country Day School. John’s car was up to Fruit Tree Lane when a bear ran out from the woods. John swerved to avoid it but the bear continued on and ran into the passenger side front and rear door of the Nissan Maxima.
When John stopped and looked around to see if the bear were injured, he could see it scampering into the hillside. Once at Wakefield, John looked at the outside of his car and saw both the passenger side and rear doors were dented.
