Physical Ed Tests
%ing Conducted
If you hoar any groans around school now you will know that the State Physical Education test program is in full swing. Twice a year the teachers are required to give these tests, in order t$ determine the children’s individual needs. For instance, the "push ups” and "pull ups” are used to test arm and shoulder strength. If in this group the student. is below average we know that he 'should' be .given more attention daily to conditioning exercises, sueh as game skills, which contribute to the development of arm and shoulder .strength. Events in other groups are given to test "trunk” and "leg” strength, as .well as the shoulder and arms.
The <f.estion of the season now is, "who will win the softball tournament?” All the captains rase at the trophy, hoping their names will go on it. But there are only three teams eligible, Mary Burke, Lois Uts, and Jo laien worth. They have not lest a game.
