Town* to Decide On
Street Maintenance
The State Highway Commission is asking each Virginia town of less than S.500 population to decide just how it wants the state to fit into its street maintenance and construction picture.
Under legislation enacted by the 1950 General Assembly, the state may enter the picture in one of three fashions:
(1) Maintain the primary highways in the town and pay the town an annual $200 per mile for' the maintenance of XU other streets- which, most certain standards.
