Events Of The Year
In the school .year 1949-50, many memorable events took place.
The first event and probably the biggest took place on September 1, when we joyfully returned to school.
On October 28, the Hallow’een Carnival ^was held in the high school auditorium. This was well attended and enjoyed by adults and children alike.
On November 24-25 we had our Thanksgiving holiday.
On December 2, a social was held in >the auditorium for the high school boys and girls. We danced and played games and then refreshments were served, which had been made by the Home Economics students.
On December 12 Mr. Lamley of Stephens City came and took pictures for the “Echb,” our annual.
On December 22 the Student Council Association presented the play “Bang! Goes Christmas.” After the play we gave out Christmas gifts and sang carols.
Also on , December 22 our holiday for Christmas began. We returned January 3, with thoughts of examinations which were just ahead.
