Newbill Miller Takes 2nd
At Baby Beef Show
Newbill M illeiy~son~~ot Mrv an4 Mrs. D. D. Miller of Washington, was awarded second place with his lightweight Angus Calf at the Charlottesville Baby Beef Show and Sale. Tuesday. April 24.
Newbill’s prize-winning Angus was purchased at the Rappahan-< nock Angus Breeders Feeder Calf Sale last October, having been bred by George C. Ramsey of Warren county. The 820-pound baby beef was graded prime-minus for second place and Iwas purchased by the “Stop & Shop” of Charlottesville at the rate of $45 per hundredweight.
Newbill Miller won first place in “fitting and showmanship” last year; however, to the disappointment of many 4-H and FFA members, no such class was offered this year. _ _—

2nd. Nefwibill Miller, Rappahannock county, prime-minus, 820pounds, $45 per cwt.
3rd. Jimmy Graves, Madison county, grade-prime, 745-pounds, $36.50 per cwt.
4th. Bobby Carlton, Madison county, grade prime-minus, 775
