Kesolved that the nomination of the candidate of the Democratic Party for the office of Member of the State Senate of Virginia from the 24th Senatorial District being comprised of the counties of Page, iRockingham, Rappahannock, and Warren, and the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia, to be voted upon in the General Election to be held in said Senatorial District on November 6, 1351, shall be by the direct Primary method, and that the Primary for the nomination of said Democratic Candidate for said office shall be held on August 7, 1951, pursuant to the provisions of the State Primary Law, and that all Candidates for said office shall file their declaration with Sheffey L. Devier, Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial District Committee for the 24th Senatorial District of Virginia, Harfrisonburg, Virginia, at least sixty (60) days before the said Primary to be held on August 7, 1951, and that if not more than one candidate files for said position, he be declared the Democratic nominee of the Party for the Senate of Virginia from the aforesaid District.” J.
