Mr. Whiorton is survived by five daughters and three sons: Nora, Jennie, Lena, Minnie, and Molly, and Ira, Lewis, and Russell Whorton, and 13 grandchildren.

Charles (“Husky”) Scroggins, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Scroggins of Washington, was in Alexandria yesterday for examination to enlist in the Army Air Force. He leaves Monday for Alexandria where he will be sworn in and transferred to Lang Field, Texas.
