A birthday party was arranged on Wednesday afternoon, April 18 at the Lee Highway hotel for Joe H. Aylor, Jr., on his third anniversary by his grandmothers Mrs. H. H. Aylor and Mrs. Della Howard. Those invited were John Lee Taylor, Frank Jarvis, P. Lee Thornton, III, Danny C 1 a t e r, Julian Brown, Billy Mundy, Cathy, Bucky, and Louise Fletcher, Edna Yates, and Susan Schaefer, Mary Sue Atkins, Shirley Brown, Jackie Brown, Judy Hawkins, Peachy and David Lyne. Games (were played on the lawn and refreshments .were served in the diningroom to the tots.
PFC. PETE DENNIS RECEIVES MEDICAL DISCHARGE

Rappahannock’s Amateur^ Show at R.C.H.S. auditorium will begin Saturday evening April 28, promptly at 8 o’clock.
The Rappahannock Garden club will meet at the home of Mrs. Rayner Snead in Washington, on Thursday, April 26 (today), at 2 p.m. Mrs. J. L. Yowell has charge of the program which will bo on “Planting and Care of Annuals.’’ Bring spring arrangement for judging.
A special service will be held Monday, April 30, at Thornton’s Gap Primitive Baptist church at 11 o’clock. The guest speakers will be Elder Clevenger of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Elder Paul Brolwn of Kansas City, Mo. The public is invited to attend this meeting by the pastor. Elder J. H. Daily.
